VACUUM PACKAGING AND FOOD SAFETY

Vacuum packaging extends the shelf life of food by removing most of the air from the containers and preventing fresh air from escaping from the sealed containers. Vacuum packaging helps preserve flavor and overall quality.

It also helps inhibit the growth of aerobic microorganisms, which can cause the following problems under certain conditions:

1. Mold: Mold cannot grow in a low oxygen environment; therefore, vacuum packaging can virtually eliminate it.

2. Yeast: Results in fermentation, which can be identified by smell and taste. Yeast needs water, sugar and a moderate temperature to grow. It can also survive with or without air. Reducing yeast growth requires refrigeration, while freezing stops it completely.

3. Bacteria: Results in an unpleasant odor, discoloration and/or soft or slimy texture. Under the right conditions, Clostridium botulinum (the organism that causes botulism), can grow without air and cannot be detected by smell or taste. Although extremely rare, it can be very dangerous.

HOW TO VACUUM AND SEAL WITH BAGS

1. Put the items inside the bag. Clean and straighten the open end of the bag. Removes dust and smoothes wrinkles or waves.

2. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber below the air inlet. Do not overfill the bag.

3. Close the lid and then press on both sides of the lid and lock the buckles.

4. Press the "Vacuum and Seal" button and the green LED will flash, the bag will be vacuumed automatically.

5. When the LED turns red, the bag will be automatically sealed.

6. When the LED turns green again, the process is complete.

7. Open the vacuum release valve and release the vacuum pressure inside the machine.

8. Open the top cover and take out the bag. Refrigerate or freeze the sealed food bag if necessary.

STAMP ONLY

1. Connect the device to a power source, the green LED lights up.

2. Place one end of the bag on top of the sealing strip, but make sure the end does not enter the vacuum chamber.

3. Close the lid and then press on both sides of the lid and lock the buckles. "SEAL ONLY" BUTTON for 3 seconds and the LED will turn red.

4. Then press on both sides of the cap until the red LED turns green again.

5. Sealing is completed, open the top cover and take out the bag.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

✅Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the unit as they will scratch the surface.

✅Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent.

✅To clean the inside of the unit, wipe away any food or liquid with a paper towel.

✅Dry well before using it again.

VACUUM SEALING ADVICE

1. Do not overfill the bags, leave enough space at the open end of the bag so that the bag can be placed in the vacuum chamber better.

2. Do not wet the open end of the bag. Wet bags can be difficult to melt and seal tightly.

3. Clean and straighten the open end of the bag before sealing. Make sure nothing is left in the open area of ​​the bag, no wrinkles or creases should appear on the open panel. Foreign objects or wrinkled bags can make it difficult to seal.

4. Do not vacuum bag objects with sharp points such as fish bones and hard shells. Often the stitches can penetrate and rupture the bag.

5. Let the vacuum sealer sit for 2 minutes, after each sealing or vacuum sealing.
